If a Frameworks licence is installed then the following now applies:

  • A User can login in up to, but not more than the number of Max Sessions assigned on the same devices. Devices are based off operating systems, not devices as set up in Device Maintenance.
  • When the Frameworks license is active, the Frameworks User Maintenance Max Session field also dictates the Prostix Max Sessions, however if disabled, the Prostix User Maintenance Max Sessions field is obeyed. The Prostix field is disabled when the Frameworks license is active. Refer to: Create/Maintain Users in the Prostix System Administration User Guide for further information.
  • If an account is disabled via Frameworks User Maintenance, then a User is not able to login to either Prostix and Frameworks. This frees up a license to be used by another user.

The Frameworks Licence Maintenance module is used to maintain the number of active users that a Company can have at the same time. Active users are defined via the Login Disabled field in User Maintenance. If a user has a Max Sessions count of 3, then that user consumes 3 licences. Refer to Creating a Frameworks User ID for further information.

Frameworks checks the number of active accounts when an update is saved in User Maintenance.  If the customer is under the new Frameworks licencing model then the number of active defined users must be less than the licence count.  If an attempt is made to add additional users that exceeds the licence count, the following error message is displayed:
